Man sentenced to life in prison for fatal wrong-way crash
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A wrong-way driver will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing a Greenville elementary school teacher last November.
A judge on Wednesday sentenced 39-year old Franco Avina to life in prison.
Prosecutors say he had a blood alcohol level five times the legal limit when his vehicle collided head-on with Aaron Haynes' car on the East Beltline near Five Mile Road.
