My Town Greenville: Gus Macker tournament to benefit young father battling cancer

GREENVILLE, Mich.—Greenville High School is getting ready to host a Gus Macker Tournament supporting a young father battling cancer yet again.

Scott Young graduated from Grand Haven High School in 2003.  Tournament organizers say he is battling cancer for the third time, and he’s not even 30 years old.  Cancer was most recently found between his heart and lungs.  Young will be traveling to Indiana University for treatment.

Young has a 1-year-old son and young daughter, who is in first grade at Baldwin Heights Elementary.  The Greenville Schools family is encouraged to donate to the dinner and auction for Young. You can also show your support by registering for the tournament, which is March 8.  For more information, visit macker.com.
