GREENVILLE, Mich.-- Thousands of children will climb into the cockpit and take flight next weekend for the EAA’s annual International Young Eagles Day.
The annual event started a decade ago, launching many kids’ interest in aviation. As part of International Young Eagles Day, the Greenville Area Aviation Association will take children ages 8-17 years old on a free flight after a short on-ground workshop, introducing them to the basics of flight.
The free flights will take place June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Greenville Airport. Each child must have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver form. Flights are available on a first come, first served basis. If inclement weather occurs, the flights will be rescheduled for Sunday, June 15.
