BELDING, Mich.— Statistics indicate more Michigan residents are dying from prescription drug abuse than from using heroin and cocaine combined.

Now is your chance to keep your unwanted prescription drugs out of the hands of abusers.

The Ionia County Sheriff Department and Belding Police Department want to remind residents about two prescription drug boxes that are now available for use. Residents can drop off prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, no questions asked.  The drop box in Belding is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 120 South Pleasant Street.  No needles will be accepted.
