Greenville Triathlon Registration Open
If you're already thinking about summer, you might want to consider the 1st Greenville Triathlon. The June 1st Short Course Sprint Triathlon is for adults and kids. It is the first of what's planned to be an annual event.
Organizers say this is an early season triathlon that can be used as a training event for the seasoned triathlete, but can also be for people who want to try their first triathlon. There will be an adult sprint triathlon (1/4 mile swim, 11.8 mile bike, 3.1 mile run) with a first wave start at 8 a.m. and two youth divisions. There are also two youth divisions, which will start at 11 a.m. The group age 11-15 will have a 200 meter swim, 3.75 mile bike, and 2.2 mile run. The other youth division is for kids ages 7-10. They will have a 100 meter swim, 2.2 mile bike and 1/2 mile run.
The Triathlon is centered on Baldwin Lake Beach at 561 W.
