Learning Without Boundaries - A letter from the GPS Board president

Learning Without Boundaries - A letter from the GPS Board president

by Janet Ralph, President Board of Education
from http://www.greenville.k12.mi.us

A quality school system is the product of strong leadership at the district level and an informed, supportive community. You do not need me to tell you that we are living in a time of rapid and tremendous change. Nowhere is this more evident than in our schools. And never has it been more important for the entire community to understand both the changes and the thought process behind them.

Capital Improvements Bond Update

Capital Improvements Bond Update

by John Gilchrist, Director of Finance
from http://www.greenville.k12.mi.us

It was just 10 months ago that Greenville voters approved a $14.57 million capital improvement bond for our District. Today, we are pleased to say that we are at the halfway point in completing our construction project. This has been an aggressive timeline, but one that minimized disruptions to student learning and does not extend the scope of the project unnecessarily.

Carpeting upgrades at each of our six schools is complete. Paving and resurfacing of the parking lots at our elementary schools have been completed. A new parking lot off Chase Street at the middle school and repaving of the circle drive are done. The parking lot will be available this spring to those using the youth baseball fields adjacent to Chase Street and we encourage you to use it!
