LaFonds get jobs at Motor Mall in Grand Rapids
News

STANTON, Mich. (Greenville Daily News)-- A Greenville father and son who issued fraudulent warranties at their auto sale business have found new employment at another car dealership.

John LaFond, 67, and his son, Jonathan LaFond, 41, are employed at the Motor Mall of Grand Rapids on 28th Street.  They stay in the Montcalm County Jail in Stanton at night and are let out in the day on work release.

The state accused the LaFonds of selling warranty contracts from Complete Automotive Repair Services of Murrysville, Pa., but never sent the money to the warranty company.

The Lafonds' business displayed a sign from Preferred Warranties Inc., but this company was not connected to the contracts the LaFonds sold at their dealership.
